Request for information relating to a House of Commons report

Request

Back in January the SNP leader Ian Blackford wrote to Boris Johnson demanding that he take immediate steps to allow the suppressed report into Russia’s interference in the British political system to be published.

No 10 said it was not possible to clear it in time, a point disputed by the previous chairman of the committee, former MP Dominic Grieve.

Considering the report in question was submitted to Johnson on October 17 2019 and we are now on the 2nd of June 2020 I see no reason for the 229 days delay. Especially when you take into account Mr. Dominic Grieves told the Bureau of investigative Journalism on Nov 28th 2019 the report “could have been published within an hour.”

Response

I am afraid I was unable to determine what information you were requesting.

However my interpretation would be you were asking if IPSA held any information relating to the reason for this delay. If this was your question I can tell you that IPSA does not hold any information relating to matters raised in the House of Commons.

You may want to send your request to the House of Commons FOI Team.
