IPSA holds the information that you request.

Under the MPs’ Scheme of Business Costs and Expenses (‘the Scheme’), MPs can claim Staffing Expenditure to meet the cost incurred in the provision of staff to assist with the performance of an MP’s parliamentary functions. This includes the costs of staff salaries. Employers’ contributions to National Insurance and employers’ contributions to pension scheme.

The information that we hold on MPs’ staffing relates to those individuals whose salaries are paid by IPSA under the Scheme. As such, as at 4 February 2016 our records show that 3136 individuals were employed by MPs.
