Whether IPSA has a time machine

Request

Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 I would like to request the following information:

  1. Does the Independent Parliamentary Standards Agency (IPSA) currently own, or have access to a time machine?

  2. Have IPSA ever owned, or had access to a time machine?

  3. If they have, please provide further details (including the cost if possible)

  4. If IPSA has never owned (or had access to) a time machine, what is the procedure you follow to process MP expense claims made in the future? (such as in the claims made by Caroline Nokes and David Mowat dated 31/12/2015, and the claim made by Julie Hilling made 7 months after losing her position, dated 01/12/2015)

  5. While unlikely, if no time travel was involved and it was simply an error, what were the correct dates for these claims?

Response

IPSA holds the information that you request.

At the time of responding IPSA does not, and has not ever, owned or had access to a time machine.

I have reviewed the supporting documentation provided by the MPs in support of the claims in questions and it seems the dates published on our website appear to be the result of an accidental error during the submission process. Please find the corrected details below.
