Request
Please could I be supplied with all responses submitted by MPs to the last pay and pensions consultation that have not previously been released.
These responses can be anonymised in order to avoid breaching any requests for confidentiality.
Response
IPSA holds the information that you request.
As a matter of course, responses to consultations carried out by IPSA are published on our website.
You can find the responses to the 2015 consultation on MPs’ pay and pensions within the ‘Pay and Pensions’ folder.
A small number of individuals specifically noted the confidentiality of their correspondence when providing their responses to us. As such, we are of the view that this information is exempt under Section 41(1) of the FOIA. Section 41(1) provides an exemption to the right of access where disclosure to the public of information that has been provided to IPSA in confidence by another person would constitute an actionable breach of confidence. This exemption applies to the information itself, rather than any personal data contained within the information.
