Claims for fees for Living Wage Foundation

Request

_Under an foi request could i ask how many members of parliament have made claim on expenses for fees paid to the above [Living Wage Foundation].

Further, could you also name the members that have done so?_

Response

IPSA holds information relating to claims made under the MPs’ Scheme of Business Costs and Expenses (the ‘Scheme’) both electronically and in hardcopy.  We have undertaken a search of our electronic records and have not identified any claims from this information relating to either of your requests.  In order to determine the information we hold in relation to your request, we would also be required to search all hardcopy receipts and invoices relating to claims made under the relevant claim category.

We undertook a test to estimate the amount of time it would take to determine whether the information you request is held by IPSA. We estimate that it would take us substantially over the appropriate cost limit of £450 (part 1 of Schedule 1 of the Freedom of Information Act). Consequently, IPSA is not obliged to respond to your requests (see section 12(1), FOIA).

This does not include the time it would take, were we obliged to comply with your requests, to retrieve and extract any relevant information held by IPSA.
