Claims for utility bills

Request

Under the Freedom of Information Act please supply the information for the 2012/2013 and 2011/2012 financial year in relation to domestic energy to residential properties. Please provide the information as a 'CSV' file. For any claim which does not have sufficient information held to create a row entry then please provide separately the MP name, claim number and the type of document used to substantiate the claim (e.g. Bank statement).

Information Requested

  • MP - The MP the claim relates to. If you use a ID number for MP's and it would be quicker/eaier to use this then please do then provide a table which matches MP ID number to name.

  • Supplier Name - The name of the Energy Supplier

  • Tariff - The name of the tariff (if the tariff has changed during the billing period please state so)

  • Type - The type of energy supplied (Gas/Elect etc)

  • Postcode - The first half of the post code of the address supplied with energy

  • Billed Start Date - The start date which the energy was supplied in relation to the bill

  • Billed End Date - The end date which the energy was supplied in relation to the bill

  • KWh - The amount of KWh the bill relates to

  • Estimates - If any of the readings are estimates (Please include wether this is the start/end or

  • Portion claimed - The percent of the bill claimed by the MP

  • Claim number - The reference number in relation to the claimed expense

IPSA holds the information that you request.

In processing your request, we undertook a test to estimate the amount of time it would take to locate, retrieve and extract this information from over 3800 expense claims for gas and electricity. As most of the information you have requested is only located within bills and invoices which have been scanned in and attached to claims, we estimate that it would take 183.4 hours of staff time to locate and extract all of the information, which takes us over the appropriate cost limit of £450 (part 1 of Schedule 1 of the Freedom of Information Act).  Consequently, IPSA is not obliged to respond to your request (see section 12(1), FOIA).
