Expense claims by Nadine Dorries MP

Has any application been received or would be paid to the MP for Mid Bedfordshire while in Australia to run an office as an MP from a hotel room while finishing off commitments on a television programme?

Response

Such a claim would not be allowable under the MPs' Scheme of Business Costs and Expenses (‘the Scheme’).  We can confirm that we have not, to date, received an application of this kind from Ms Dorries.

The Scheme allows a maximum of 90 days for submission of claims after costs have been incurred.  As you know, details of claims for expenses are published on our website in a two month cycle, three months in arrears. The next publication date for expense claims is Thursday 10 January 2013.
