Information relating to MPs' staff contracts

I would like to know how many contracts of MPs staff have 'altered', meaning how many contracts statutory obligations - for example sick leave, sick pay and holiday entitlement, have been changed to reduce the statutory entitlements the member of staff should be entitled to. I would like the information by both total numbers of staff, total numbers of MP and by the Party of which the MP is a member, as well as which entitlement has been altered.

IPSA does not hold the information that you request.

There are no contracts which have been altered to reduce the statutory entitlements that an MP’s member of staff should be entitled to.  In respect of some entitlements, for example sickness pay and leave, MPs’ staff members are entitled to contractual conditions that are more generous than the statutory minima. We carry out checks on all contracts to ensure that the information complies with agreed pay and conditions policies.
