Details of MPs' expense claims which have been lost by IPSA

Please could you let me know if IPSA are keeping a record of the number of times that expense claim forms which Members say have been posted to it have got “lost” and have not been received at IPSA?  If such a record is being kept, please could you let me know what the figure stands at so far?

If IPSA are not keeping such a record, please could you let me know if it could start to do so?


Response

IPSA does not keep a record of the number of occasions MPs have advised us that expense claims have gone missing. The reason for this is that there does not appear to be a problem in this regard. Were we to become aware of the regular non-arrival of claim forms, we would of course instigate an investigation. Before such a time, IPSA does not intend to keep a record of such instances.
