Information regarding problems with the computer system.

Your request has been handled under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA). I can confirm that IPSA holds some of the information that falls within the description specified in your request. Dealing with each of your requests in turn: 

1. I would be pleased if you would give me the name of the company contracted to carry out the introduction of the IPSA computer system.

The online expense system was supplied as part of a wider IT contract with Calyx UK Ltd. The scope of the contract with Calyx UK Ltd covers infrastructure and enterprise software support. 

IPSA selected its ICT Systems provider following a structured procurement exercise run through Office of Government Commerce Buying Solutions. A number of specialist ICT providers bid for the work and were evaluated against pre-agreed criteria by a selection panel made-up of IPSA Directors and ICT staff working for IPSA. The Office of Government Commerce maintained an oversight of the procurement. 

2. Has there been consideration given by IPSA to review the contract?

The support contract term is for five years from February 2010 and consideration has been given to review the contract eight months before the contract ends in 2014 to conduct a competitive tender exercise. 

The service is kept under regular review to ensure compliance with the service level agreements. 

3. I would be pleased if you would send me minutes of IPSA meetings when discussions have been held regarding the problems encountered since the company was first engaged.
