Response

I can confirm that IPSA holds the information that falls within the description specified in your request.

Question 1: What arrangements are in place to transfer the pension arrangements for staff members from the Department of Resources to IPSA?

The Parliamentary Standards Act 2009 provides for IPSA to have access to Civil Service Pension arrangements. IPSA has been admitted to the Civil Service Pension arrangements. Transfers from the House Scheme will be on a like-for-like basis.

Question 2: What expenses will IPSA staff be allowed to claim?

The IPSA Expenses policy and procedures set out those expenses for which staff can be reimbursed. Please find a copy attached. The expenses claimed by IPSA’s Board members and senior staff are published on the IPSA website under the publications section of the website (http://www.parliamentarystandards.org.uk/).This is updated on a quarterly basis.

Question 3: What costs have IPSA staff incurred in taxi fares during May 2010 which are to be reimbursed?

Eight taxi fares were claimed by IPSA staff in May 2010. The total value of the reimbursed fares came to £76.00. All of these journeys related to the transfer of sensitive documents from 1 Parliament Street to IPSA’s Portland House office in Victoria.

Question 4: What graphic design costs have been incurred by IPSA since its formation?

IPSA was created out of the IPSA Implementation Project, part of the Ministry of Justice (MoJ). The logo and identity guidelines were designed at no extra cost to the project by the in-house MoJ design team, who also designed the original IPSA website. The present website was designed in-house by the IPSA Implementation Team.
