IPSA brand identity

Request

  1. When was your current logo, corporate style, graphics and branding implemented?

  2. Who designed it?

  3. How much were the designers paid for their services?

  4. Were other designers consulted? Was there competition? If so, who was involved, and was any payment made to unsuccessful firms? Are there any "alternate" versions of the branding (as in, any which were designed but not taken up), and if so, please supply an electronic copy.

  5. Please provide me with a copy of your logo guidelines, branding manual or equivalent document.

Response

Q: When was your current logo, corporate style, graphics and branding implemented?

The IPSA logo was introduced in October 2009. The IPSA website in its current form was re-launched on 29 March 2010 to coincide with the publication of the new expenses rules. On 9th June 2010, IPSA agreed to implement the Identity Guidelines attached.

Q: Who designed it?

IPSA was created out of the IPSA Implementation Project, part of the Ministry of Justice (MoJ). The logo and identity guidelines were designed at no cost to the project by the in-house MoJ design team, who also designed the original IPSA website. The present website was designed in-house by the IPSA implementation team.

Q: How much were the designers paid for their services?

No fee was payable for any of IPSA’s designs.

Q: Were other designers consulted? Was there competition? If so, who was involved, and was any payment made to unsuccessful firms? Are there any "alternate" versions of the branding (as in, any which were designed but not taken up), and if so, please supply an electronic copy.

We need a little longer to confirm the answer to these questions. We will respond to you by Friday 25th June 2010. Please accept our apologies for this delay.

Q: Please provide me with a copy of your logo guidelines, branding manual or equivalent document.

Please find attached a copy of IPSA’s Identity guidelines. These were implemented from 9th June 2010.
