A list of all Members of Parliament who indicated their pay should be higher in IPSA survey

Request

You recently advised, a number of Member's of Parliament have argued they were under paid for the work they carried out and an increase  was required.

Following your review you seem to have agreed with them.

Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 I request a list of all Members of Parliament who advised you their pay was inadequate at the current rates of remuneration to compensate them for their Parliamentary duties upon which you made your recommendations.

Response

IPSA does not hold the information that you request.

The survey to which you refer was carried out by YouGov as part of their regular omnibus polling.  The results of the survey were double anonymised; IPSA does not know which MPs responded and the respondents did not know that IPSA was the client.  We do not, therefore, have any information on the respondents.

For your information, the full details of the survey are available on our website attached to Reviewing MPs’ Pay & Pensions: A First Report – January 2013.
