‘How many members of staff at the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority possessed qualifications recognised and /or rewarded by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in the period May 7th 2010 to August 31st 2010 and August 1st 2012 and September 30th 2012 respectively.’
IPSA holds the information that you request.
IPSA has never required staff members to possess professional qualifications recognised or rewarded by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
In order to ascertain whether any members of staff currently hold or have ever held qualifications recognised or rewarded by RICS, we would need to identify and search the CVs of every individual who has ever held a position at IPSA. We undertook a test to estimate the amount of time it would take to determine whether this information is held within the CVs and estimate that to do so would take over 23 hours of staff time, which takes us over the appropriate cost limit of £450 (part 1 of Schedule 1 of the FOIA) and are therefore not obliged under the FOIA to comply with your request.
