Accommodation expenditure and number of bedrooms

Request

In respect of all current MPs in receipt of financial support from the public purse towards housing costs in pursuance of their Parliamentary activity please provide the following information:

How many MPs receive official financial contribution towards accommodation containing:

  1. one bedroom

  2. two bedrooms

  3. three bedrooms

  4. four or more bedrooms.

Response

We have already provided an answer to this question under a previous FOI request (reference FOI2013-A158), which requested the number of MPs claiming rent for properties with more than one bedroom. 

As you will see from this response, we conducted a test which showed that to provide the information requested, we would have exceeded the statutory cost limit stipulated in the FOIA.
