Resettlement payments to former MPs since the 2010 election

We are currently carrying out a consultation of MPs’ pay and pensions, under which resettlement payments are being considered. Ahead of any measures that result from the consultation, IPSA introduced an interim policy of resettlement payments for those MPs that lose their seat when they contest a General Election held before the next scheduled General Election (under the Fixed-term Parliaments Act 2011). 

I can confirm that, as no General Election has taken place, no payments of this kind have been made.
