Payroll changes to David Ward MP's staff

The Liberal Democrat candidate for the Bradford West by-election is Jeanette Sunderland. She has been campaigning very hard for the by-election which tooks place in two days time (29 March), and is currently a research to David Ward MP and a local councillor in Bradford.

I would like to make sure she has adjusted the pay roll to allow her to campaign out of hours.

You asked if a member of Mr Ward’s staff has adjusted the payroll to allow them to campaign out of hours.

IPSA acts as the pay roll agent for MPs, who are the employers, and therefore holds information on members of staff.  However, as in other fields of employment, if an individual chooses to undertake an activity outside their contracted hours, there would be no requirement for the individual to request any adjustment to the payroll.
