The Director of Operations was recruited using the standard government procurement framework, A217480/L1, Interim Management: Board/Executive Committee Level (see www.buyingsolutions.gov.uk/frameworks).

b. Recruitment companies used

There are ten recruitment agencies as part of this framework (details can be found at the above link) and all agencies were invited to submit 2 CVs.

c. Advertising

IPSA produced no adverts for this role, since this is part of the service provided by the agencies on the framework.

d. Number of applicants

There were 18 applicants.

e. Existing relationships

As part of the recruitment process, if any member of the sift/interview panel has a prior relationship with any candidate, they are excluded from the appointment panel. The successful candidate was not previously known to the IPSA team.

f. Party membership

Current membership of political parties is listed in the IPSA register of interests, which is available on the IPSA website. The current postholder holds no membership of any political parties. IPSA does not hold information relating to previous party membership.
