The IPSA improvement programme will make it simpler and quicker for MPs and their staff to work with IPSA. The IPSA Online homepage will go live in December and bring all of IPSA’s current systems into one place with secure sign-on provided through the user’s Parliamentary Digital Service account. All the guidance, forms and Bulletins currently on the IPSA website will also be stored here and you will be able to view your costs and expenses data here before publication. New features include:
- Digital payslips – you will be able to access your payslip online, wherever you are, rather than waiting for the post to arrive. We will keep sending paper payslips for a transitional period
- An online calendar, flagging key dates in your business claims cycle and personalising our communications to you
For this first phase, we are producing a range of support materials to share with MPs and staff. We will provide advice and support in person and online through the MPs’ Support team. We are also demonstrating the service in regional roadshows and events throughout the autumn.
In summer 2018, we will introduce a new and improved expenses system. This will reduce paperwork and manual data entry and provide you with real-time data reports to give you a more accurate budget and staffing position. MPs and their staff will be invited to demonstrations and training on the new system in early 2018.
If any MPs or staff are interested in getting more involved in IPSA Online, such as providing feedback or testing elements of the system as we develop it, please contact us.
